This week, our President, Ignacio Ferrer-Bonsoms, was invited as a speaker to the Logistics Conference organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Navarra with the collaboration of the Volkswagen Navarra´s Cathedra This year, which reaches its VI edition, the chosen theme has been the use of Blockchain and its business disruption; It is to say to know the application of Blockchain in logistics counted through real practical cases already executed in the sector.
Hundreds of people interested in the Blockchain in logistics
The event, organized in person and offline, registered more than 350 attendees: students, teachers as well as companies interested in knowing how Blockchain technology provides new opportunities and advantages to the logistics sector. The conference that was organized at the Friends of the University of Navarra Building was directed by Ignacio Orradre, Secretary General of the Navarra Association of Transport Companies.

Along with the President of the Blockchain Arbitrary Society, there were also presentations by two expert panelists in this field. As the first speaker, Claudio J. Tessone, Director of the UZH Blockchain Center and professor of Blockchain and distributed ledger technologies at the Department of Informatics at the University of Zurich focused his presentation on the generation of the new socio-economic systems offered by blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
Next, Diego Rodríguez Roldán, Partner Responsible for the Risk Advisory Innovation Center at Deloitte explained the real opportunities for applying Blockchain in civil, legal, administrative registers, and especially in traceability throughout the supply chain.
On behalf of the BAS, Ignacio Ferrer-Bonsoms presented the Blockchain Arbitrary Society, its origin and need in the crypto and technology environment. In addition, Ignacio presented real cases of clients who have already integrated this technology into their processes and who come from the energy sector (the case of AENER Energía) or from Engineering (Comanai) or from the crypto world (BAMBOO Defi). Finally, the President of BAS launched a fictitious challenge, taking advantage of the presence of the Volkswagen Navarra Chair to raise the fictitious case of the tokenization of Polos automobiles, its process and return.
